The Role
As an Acupuncturist in independent practice, you will play an important role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our clients. Your work will be rooted in a holistic, compassionate approach, with particular attention to preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum care, while remaining open to a diverse general clientele.
Main Responsibilities
- Welcome and assess clients to develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans.
- Provide safe, personalized treatments based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, moxibustion, and related techniques).
- Monitor client progress and adapt care plans as needed.
- Support clients during the perinatal period (preconception, pregnancy, postpartum), as well as clients with a variety of other concerns, within your scope of practice.
- Collaborate with the centre’s multidisciplinary team and refer to other professionals when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications
- Recognized diploma in acupuncture.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des acupuncteurs du Québec (OAQ).
- Experience or interest in perinatal health (an asset).
- Strong communication skills and active listening abilities.
- Ability to work independently within an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment.
- Human-centered, respectful, and professional approach.
